Is it a good idea for the candidate to send availability through an app like Calendly?

Calendly (or the equivalent) is super convenient for scheduling interviews. I like when the recruiter uses that or the equivalent to schedule an interview.

When the recruiter doesn’t use that and just asks for my availability, it’s a lil tough because multiple companies ask for my availability and my availability can change. What if I just, for example, maintain a Calendly and any time that a recruiter asks “when are you available?” I just reply back with my Calendly link? It feels like it would be optimal but I don’t know if that would cause any logistics concerns or something.

  • I do it because that’s what recruiters do to me. Don’t even read their messages just tell them to schedule something on my calendly and make them get a taste of their own medicine.

  • For them talking to random strangers is a job. But for you it's waste of your time. I would always screen their messages and only talk if it's worth it. If you share open calender it will be like opening main door to every random sales guy.
