I encountered an issue that my account details in HDFC bank were shared with someone (relatives), including my salary credit transaction details.

I’m planning to switch to Citibank India.

Does Citibank india have much secure system and privacy of customers data are taken care well ?

What is your take on it? Have you faced similar issue in past ever?

  This is the way to go. Even the sbi servers go to lunch and don't respond. Forget relatives, even OP won't know his account transactions

Citibank's India business is being sold to Axis. You should file a complaint with each banks Ombudsman and the onwards to the RBI about it.

In any bank in India if you have contacts, one can get anyone’s transaction details. So just choose a bank accordingly.
