Looking at upgrading apartments due to rents falling in the area and most likely will wfh next year. anyone have any good tips for negotiating rent in the SF area? Im looking to stay in my neighborhood and with people dropping like flies here figure there is a lot of power with the renter right now.

Rents are down by $800 in some places for a one bedroom apartment compared to this time last year. My apt is offering 2 months free for extending lease.

Hold out if you can. In a similar situation and the mass exodus has really picked up the past 2-3 weeks. No new college grads will be moving here for at least 6-12 months, so there’s going to be A LOT of inventory.
