Entry Level Data Science Market

First time here so sorry if i break some unspoken rules.

So I'm a vet with 10 years of service and about to graduate with BS in Control Systems Engineering. Market seems dead rn and there aren't many jobs for my field in NYC. I am considering attending a General Assembly data science bootcamp. Obviously during quarantine jobs are even more scarce, but come September do you guys think there will be even a remote chance to find an entry level position? Also would switching to UI/UX, Full Stack, etc. give a better chance to find anything entry level?
