Facebook - Data Scientist
I have an IC5 M0 data scientist offer from Facebook with TC ~320 in LA. I believe it’s a level down for me. I am really struggling to decide on this. I was hoping if someone could share more insights on the growth prospects at Facebook, and to be honest growth prospect after Facebook. I work in finance and am Sr manager. I manage team here. I also have an offer from Uber in bay area, L6 level, with team to manage fb tc ~320k uber tc ~390k relevant yoe 10 #facebook

Is this data scientist, analytics role? I think 320 is a great TC.

Seems like it’s really a decision of what you want your career to be from here. Analytics vs finance. $70k is a big delta, but if you really want to move to DS/analytics, then your call. Uber stock is not looking great, but neither is fb.....
Surely L6 Uber will beat that.
I thought Fb doesn’t hire M0 externally. Is FB offer manager or IC? Uber seems to align with your trajectory.
I am good at both analytics and finance - to be honest there is not much difference. FB is IC
