Hi Guys, I am at the final round of the Facebook interview for Network Engineer, Would it be possible to provide a few tips and shed some light on the interview process? #facebook #interview #interviewkickstart #networkengineer #interviewquestions #interview #telecom
Is this final tech round or behavioral? If it’s behavioral then why Facebook.
Tc ?
Final Round combines 5 rounds. 1-2 Networking based 3 scripting round 4 system design 5 behavioral I am completely blank on round 4.
Did you crack the interview? Tc?
can you shed some light on round 3?
I am still preparing for the interview. Has anyone given the last round interview for Network Engineering role for corporate? The last round includes of 5 rounds. I need help with Software Design round.
Check out the system design primer for SRE on Google. Although that has more to do with system design in general and not networking specific. If you're experienced, then you'll be asked about your previous projects, how you came up with the design or if you understand all of it. Or they might give you a problem - we're bringing up a new service for core networking which does the following, tell us how you'd design it. So you have to use your past experience or current understanding of all involved technologies (dns, load balancing, core, edge layers etc) . This is my best guess as to how it'd be :) you should otherwise check with your recruiter who would usually provide you with the details of preparation for onsite.
You can prepare how to approach a system design problem and how you should cover it end to end, I don't think you can prepare learning all the technologies involved, again, check with your recruiter!
Hello OP, since you have gone through the initial call for Network Engineer Corp position at Facebook. I am having initial call tomorrow for same position. Can you please tell me about what to expect in the initial call and how many rounds are there before the final onsite interview (5 rounds)? It will help me alot. Let me know. Thanks in advance.
Usually first round with Facebook is fundamentals of all thing networking.
First 2 rounds complete networking fundamentals. A lot of questions on TCP , bgp, vrrp , ospf , etc Behavioral round is just standard HR questions. Why fb , conflict resolution. System design is very vague. So you have to be prepared on why you are choosing what protocol, link capacity , how to load balance, redundancy aspects etc . Scripting round is exactly the same as round 2 which would have happened . Probably a little more difficult than that .
Can you please let us know what questions were asked related to tcp bgp ospf vrrp... aside from these topics any other topics were asked...
Hi OP, can you tell me about the network engineering phone interview. I have that interview coming up and was wondering what topics do they focus on. Can you tell me what topics/questions were you asked? That would really help. Thanks.
It will be on your background and basic networking and py questions like smtp, dns, TCP/IP, bgp , udp etc and sets, lists, dictionary, tuples, string addition multiplication etc.
My first round was automation round. And second one was technical. They asked me about TCP IP, BGP OSPF fundamental stuffs
Can you shed some light on automation round?
