ByteDance is officially fucked
I recently accepted a Data Engineer, Analytics new grad position at Facebook. Joining is in June 2020. Can I ask my recruiter to consider me for SWE instead? If yes, will I have to go through the entire loop again or just the on-site? If I get rejected for SWE position, can I keep the original Data Engineer offer? Reason for DE -> SWE : I would have preferred a DE at FB rather than SWE at a non-FAANG. I just got a SDE offer from Amazon so willing to take the risk of re-interviewing at FB for SWE role. Edit : Facebook DE Offer (Menlo Park): Base : 120k Sign-on : 20k Stocks : 100k/4 Performance bonus : 10% Amazon SDE offer (SF): Base : 128k Sign-on : 30k first year/26k second year Stocks : 95k/4 Relocation : 6.8k

How much was offer?
Updated the post
Yes, only a few additional interviews, no.
Some are saying that I'll be treated same as an external candidate if I wish to switch. Have you switched internally or know anyone who has?
Hey man how was your interview? Did they ask mostly SQL questions and was there any LC med?
Hi I have a FB dE new grad interview coming up. Can you help me out with what kind of questions were asked on phone screen, actual interview? Thanks.
iirc you have to stay for a year then you can reinterview for SWE (I had this same exact experience)
Same experience at FB? How did it go? I was wondering since my joining is 6 months away from now, can't I reinterview now?
SWE HC is more than likely full for new grads thatβs why you would have to wait
