Which one seems better? I am worried about 2 factors: WLB and getting pip. Fb: e4 250k/year (base and stocks) not including signing bonus OCI: ic4 300k/year same as above Sign on are almost same at both place. I really like the team that I talked to at Oracle. Manager is very easy going. Little worried about PIP culture at FB as I am on Visa.
Oci can do much better for ic4
Go for the better compensation.
FB
Can you say more?
Lot many. Your salary will be stunted No bonus. No hike. No refreshers Annual vesting You have to payback bonus if you leave before one and half years No fast growth. Lot of reorgs and if you are in infra team oncall load is too much with no proper tools and getting worse with more regions Immigration team sucks. If you just got verbal offer you will have join only after 4 months (snail pace). And same with green card processing And obv FB brand name >> OCI
Freebies at FB will compensate for the pay difference. Choose the team with more interesting work , tech stack etc
I am married and have family, so I don’t care much about things like free food and laundry
Oracle benefits are not comparable to fb . I had similar options and selected oci for work , which is gr8 btw but benefits and perks are noticeably missing .
What is Ic4 title?
Ask for more base? 260?
Yoe?

You should get E5 ... cuz you get ic4 in Oracle LoL
I was also feeling that. I told recruiter that I am currently 62 and will be 63 in next few months. So for 63 mapping looks like IC4 at oracle and E5 at Facebook. I am debating in my mind if I want better company name or better position
Pip culture is overblown at fb. But wlb might be better at oracle? I’m averaging 40 hrs I’d be more worried about layoffs at oracle
Any data? How many gets piped?
Getting a below average rating does not result in pip if that helps unless you get multiple in a year or if you are completely unproductive
