I got 185 base, 100 sign and 1M rsus, so definitely a room for negotiation. Was L5 at G. But I had really big counter from G, after I told them I am leaving. Until that counter, FB was strongly fixed on 185/100/600.

How did you get fb yo increase the offer after you already accepted ( I presume). Did you go back and say G countered and go back on your commitment to accept fb offer?

  • Sign on can go up to 100. Everything else is good. Ask for 100 sign up and 600k to sign and see what happens

That’s right, SV and Bay Area are the same for fb. 200 is high base for E5

200k is the highest E5 base I’ve heard of for a new hire.

Borderline e6 means e5 unless you ace the interviews. I definitely didn't ace the system design interviews since I had no experience with such things and didn't do enough prep there. I believe I aced the coding questions thus my job offer.

The comp was better than my MS gig so it was fine with me to get e5 then I have time to learn the culture and tech before needing to perform at e6.

I'm still in bootcamp and haven't picked a team yet so take this with a grain of salt but I'm loving fb so far.

OMG I love the free food perk!

I am waiting to see their counter. If not, prob Facebook. I don’t see any downside of Facebook compare to uber. Pay is a plus right?

Based on what you mentioned in the other thread, this offer is less than what you currently make at Google. Or am I not understanding this comp correctly. This adds up to a TC of ~400k correct? (200 + 137 + 50)

How easy is it to go to e6 in Facebook?

IC6 here. You have to be doing the job already for at least 1 half, have meets expectations for 2 consecutive halfs, and there is a demonstrated business need for your promotion. It's hard. IC5 is considered terminal so you can stay there if you want.

Possibly due to older data when comps were lesser than current weighing the average down

Glassdoor is crap. I don’t think their data is accurate.

That’s not really the market. If you go outside of FAANG you will hardly see anyone making that kind of money in the junior levels (L4,5). Not many companies have stock valued like them.
