I'd ask for less and a higher salary instead.
Why is that? Assuming I can bump it to 100k, I dont think I can have same increase on salary
100k? Maybe not. 50k vs. 12.5k/year more in salary? Might be able to do that and the higher salary is something every future employer is likely to have to match.
That’s kinda already an amazing sign on, tbh
Discussion of sign on is meaningless without TC
Sure - ask for a million
I had an E4 offer with 100k signing.. seems low for M1
@Op, off-topic, but what were your interview breakdowns like? How many algo+ds vs system design vs behavior?
1 coding (leetcode hard) 2 design 2 behavior 1 career path. That's for the onsite. I also had around 3 rounds before the onsite (both coding and management sessions) and one extra management session after the onsite.
Thanks op. Congrats on the offer.
Facebook is offering you $50,000 for solving a leetcode question (plus some design ones). You have to keep in mind that - 1. You are definitely not worth it. The combination of so much cashflow and shortage of talented engineers allows it. 2. A lot of people around the world don't make it in a lifetime 3. The average American has less than that for his retirement. Be happy with where you are, congrats on the offer and don't be one of those people who's only goal in life is making more money.
Alright so I was kind of in a trolling mood but then your eloquent and mature response ruined it for me :) You can def. negotiate a little and I wish you all the best in your new job, congrats!
Y’all just got acquired for billion dollars I am sure that helps
Ask for more (not 100k) firmly and politely. If rest comp already beats 600 annually - decide yourself.
TC or GTFO
No
Must be a low TC
