Facebook M2 Engineering Manager Comp
Thanks everyone for all the useful posts and data - hugely valuable ! I just got the good news today that I've gotten approved for M2 engineering manager offer @ FB and they asked me my expectations. I searched through M2 FB comps on blind and couldn't get really useful data points. levels.fyi also has just 2 data points without any breakdown. I've 15 YOE. What are the components of the total comp @ M2 level I should be asking/expecting ? Thank you again for your time and response in advance. Current total comp $480K

Used to be at amazon. Now I am @Microsoft - Principal Engineering Manager - manage org of 3 teams, 30 people.
Interesting. What is the range of Principal EM at MSFT ? I have heard it varies a lot. For EM, FB median is in the range of 450-500K. M2 median will be around 600-650k with a lot of variance

May I know how does the interview look like for M2 positions? Did you meet the FB team that you’ll manage during the interview?
phone screen + 6 onsites 1:1's ( 2 Design, 1 coding, 3 People/Behavioral/Project). You don't meet the team you'll manage.
OP, how did you prepare for each of these?

You'll be at the 700k-800k range. Base around 250k. Good luck. What was your level at Amazon?

250 base, 1.6M refresher, bonus is standard 25%. Don’t know what kind of sing on you should ask for though
