On facebook careers page, all MLE(machine learning) roles that are non-new grad require 5 years of industry experience. I am assuming the recruiters enforce this while scanning resumes. 1. Is this recent or something old? 2. Any hopes of relaxing this requirements in future? 3. Is this becoming the industry standard now, I have seen this at roles in Msft and Google too. Nan, they don’t enforce this if they are really in need or you are really good. I had less than 2 years experience and interviewed at FB last year and got and MLE offer. Decided not to go at that time. Now regretting it.
Oh, thanks for reply. I couldn’t pass through the recruiters and hms so far, to get an interview. Tried with 4 referrals. Can I pm you my resume, if possible you can tell me if I have chance.
Why do you regret it?
