Recently received a new grad offer from Facebook (through interviews) and they seemed to be completely closed to negotiation. I mentioned that I had competing offers that were much higher than FB’s, but the recruiter said they rolled out their highest offer this year and wasn’t even interested in the companies I had offer letters for. It seems that other companies (e.g. Twitter) also aren’t willing to negotiate. Is this consistent across tech companies for new grad SWE positions? Has anyone had any luck negotiating with Facebook? For those interested: Facebook: (University Grad SWE, Menlo Park) Base: $124k RSU: $160k/ 4 years Sign-on: $50k
Isn’t that low? 3 yrs ago as new grad I had 116k/130k over 3.5 yrs/50 signon in Redmond by MSFT.
This month, Microsoft offered me 112/120 and 30 sign on split over 2 years. I previously interned at Twitter and go to Waterloo so i wouldn't consider myself a weak candidate.
Must be the new norm. eBay doesn’t negotiate new grad
@OP did you get all the questions from leetcode tagged ones ? Were the questions from top 50 tagged or list or top-100 (6 months tagged list) ?
hey! i have an upcoming interview with fb for new grad! can i dm you?
For return interns stocks go up to 220k and 75k signon. Try pushing for around there.
Thought FB paid more for new grads, that's surprising. Amazon might even pay more than this in the bay What are your other offers & TC?
@Affirm, how is Affirm’s RSU refresher policy?
