A Facebook recruiter reached out to me for a new grad position. After asking me about whether I needed a sponsorship and I assured her I was a citizen she eagerly wanted to move forward with setting up a phone interview with the engineers. I had mentioned to her that Iโm only really looking for positions in NYC but this position is for Menlo Park. I also donโt want to interview now as I am amidst a semester in school and am not prepared. Would it be too much to ask for the process to be postponed for sometime in the future, I.e August or September? Current TC: Student (ramen noodles and freezer pizza)
Be aware that at some point there may no longer be headcount for new grads here. Give your recruiter a concrete time to follow up with you (ex. 3 or 6 months) and theyโll do that though.
