Facebook Onsite System Design

Hey guys, had an on-site interview with Facebook London recently. Behavioral and problem solving interviews passed well except system design. I was interviewed for iOS engineer position. Seems I asked too many clarification questions, and run out of time(I had 30 minutes) couldn’t cover all areas in details like local storage. Is it a rejection or any follow up interviews are possible? 6 yoe.

Follow up interviews are definitely possible. I did pretty well on the coding and behavioral questions, but they felt they didn't have enough signals from the system design question. They asked me to do one more system design interview afterwards. Also you might have done better than you thought you did. I thought I did good on my first one and bad on my second one, but the feedback was kind of opposite.

How was your follow up interview? I have an additional system design coming up. Did you get an offer?

Follow up seemed tough and I thought I did bad. But the feedback wound up being positive, which really surprised me. And yea I wound up getting an E4 offer after that.

OP, do they ask you iOS related questions ? I do expect few questions but do they get really deep in those concepts?
