Facebook PM Product Manager Generalist level
I am interviewing for a Product Manager Generalist role at Facebook. I have around 6 years of experience as a PM and have an MBA. The recruiter told me that these roles would start at L5. Is this true? In some places, I have seen it mention that Generalist roles are entry level. Given my experience, I would not fall under an Entry-level PM. Anyhow got a FB PM Generlist offer.. can you share the level? Thank you!
Is L6 considered as Senior? What is a good qualification guideline?
If L4 is entry, I would say L6 sounds like Senior

6 Yoe is in like with L5. L6 looks for more exp, but I’ve seen L6(pm leads) come in with 5-7 YOE and top MBA/MS/PHD

I have 3 YOE in PM and 1 in TPM. Should I try to shoot for IC5 or will that set me up for failure. On-site coming up
Why do you have to prep for FB. Just make money in better ways.

Generalist only means that you don’t have a pre allocated role, it is not connected with the seniority of the position. Considering what you said about your background ic5 is totally fine
