Fellow Blinders, I have a L6 PM offer from FB. A few questions: 1. what are the chances of negotiating an L7? I have the years of experience, skill set and accomplishments under my belt for L7. 2. How should I negotiate an L7? 3. What is the max base and equity I can expect for L6 and for L7? currently L6 PM at Amazon and >75% probablity to be promoted to L7 in Q1, 2021.
What are the details of your FB offer ?
I am really only interested in understanding how I can get the level commensurate with my experience. The actual comp does not matter as much.

You give something, you take something. Either provide your comp or interview experience, prep etc. Think of it as giving back to the community.

Pretty low. I know for Google->FB they just match your level, no exceptions. Amazon. I thought L6 Amazon mapped to L5 at FB so I'm surprised you got L6. Good job on the interviews! Look at levels.fyi to see how they compare
I've had couple colleagues at FB come over from Amazon and almost all of them were down leveled because fb pay is often 1-2 levels higher than Amazon to begin with. Scope of work is also very different.
Google pays less for PM L6 than FB. Amazon L7 does map to FB L6/L5.
Does l6 pm at Amazon map to l5 at fb? If so then a jump of 2 levels may not be bought by the recruiter. How many yoe do you have? If you can get an l7 offer elsewhere then you can talk the the recruiter about it.
Thank you for your tips. I have about 15 years of experience, ~10 in PM. Managed PM teams prior to Amazon and $$$M p&l. One big reason to quit Amazon is because they got my leveling wrong.
So 2 years ago L6 PM was 450 max. I know a PM who recently got an L6 offer around 520 (didn’t see the offer myself though).
Oh and this is what I found elsewhere on blind recently for L6 PM @ FB: 210-240 salary; 225-300 rsu, 20% bonus (42-48); 100k signing: ~588k + 100k max s/o.
Did the 520 include signing?
Also; congrats! You should feel amazing. L6 PM @ FB is same (or better IMO) as L7 PM @ Amazon (I had an L7 Amazon offer 2 years ago and instead joined Uber at the equivalent of FB L6). Once you get the offer you’ll stop worrying about level nonsense. The only relevant measure of level is $.

You're leveled based on your interview performance. They don't know and don't ask what your Amazon level is. I've seen ppl get down leveled or upleveled all based on interview. "Yrs of exp" isn't that big of a factor. I've seen 20yrs of exp L6 and also 5yrs of exp L7.
So how are you leveled based on interview? Is it your swagger? What you say? Details/innovation of solutions? Or do interviewers just guesstimate and go “I think this person is a solid 5!”
