I interviewed back in June this year. Portfolio review: - have a polished presentation instead of going thru your online portfolio - you can ask the interviewer to save the questions for the end if you're worried about timing - pick case studies that show a range of your skills as a designer -- where you went thru multiple iterations, clear learnings, measure of success, etc.. App critique: - do a practice run with a designer friend, but don't over prep. You want this to feel organic - have a general structure in mind & feel free to share this with the interviewer. Something like let's talk about what success looks like for this app, the navigation, and go thru a specific action. Also important to take initiative and lead the conversation while answering - refer to the user, and less to what your preferences are - dig into visual consistency & accessibility Good luck!
Thanks so much! In terms of interactions - does fb want to see really advanced animations and clean interactions - dribbbly type posts or do they look for balanced ones? What should I expect to be asked as well?
Less on the dribbly and more on the thought process. They'll ask you more in depth questions about your portfolio pieces basically -- why you made certain decisions, any iterations you've done, who you had to work with, etc...
