Facebook Product Growth Analyst SQL Interview

Jun 11, 2021 7 Comments

Hey everyone!

Let me start by thanking this community for all the help so far. It has really changed the game for me and helped me atleast aim to FAANG in my career.

I have an upcoming interview with Facebook for the Product Growth Analyst role. The next round will have sql through coder pad.

Does anybody have any insights on the level I can expect in there?

Additionally, I have been using Microsoft SQL Server at work, and I was looking into Coder pad and looks like it doesnt support SQL server and only has mysql or postgresql? Not really sure if its irrelevant or I should bring it up before the interview. Please let me know if I am missing something there and the difference doesnt matter.

Really want to give a good shot on this, but if it would need me to practice a lot of mysql instead, I definitely need to know or buy more time :/

  • Platforms like Interviewquery, Stratascratch can help you with expectations and practice. Practice all FB tagged questions. This is the advice I have been getting.

    • Right, thats what I was thinking. But looks like in a coderpad interview, they would want me to run the query as well. Which would then bring dependency on the syntax right?

    • I have attended Amazon SQL interviews and this was just like white board coding online. The platform that they use is just similar to notepad except that they can see you code real-time. I am expecting this is the case with FB too. You are not expected to execute the code real-time. Just write the query and walk them through how you will solve the problem they have asked with your query logic
