Which company has a better Associate Product Management with respect to getting into the role, learning curve and compensation? Any othet suggestions are also welcomed.

This. I Interviewed for Google APM intern and my lunch interviewer revealed they had picked APM over RPM. their understanding was that google PMs were more technical and therefore got more respect from SWEs they worked with.
The same interviewer also mentioned that if you were very passionate about PM, the easiest way in is probably spending a few years at MS and then transfering to a different tech company if interested.
