Facebook TLM/M0?

I am a engineering manager at Capital One and I am interviewing at Facebook. I’m trying to figure out the level that I am interviewing for. My recruiter told me that I would have a couple of coding interviews, a system design interview, a product design interview and I behavioral interview.

She said repeatedly that this is a senior level position that Facebook doesn’t recruit externally for that much. She also said that the emphasis wouldn’t be as much on my coding as much as the behavioral interview and the systems interviews.

Now, from my research that doesn’t sound like an E6 role because the bar for coding is still high I’m guessing.

Does this sound like a TLM or M0 role? They don’t seem to advertise those roles if they exist which I guess could means they are reserved for internal candidates.

M0 is almost always an internal transition. You're most likely being recruited for M1

Based on the interviews you mentioned, this would not be a manager position. My guess would be either an E5 or E6 role. It will depend on how you do in the interviews.

Is the bar for coding the same for e6 ? Or do they get lenient about coding as seniority increases.

I was told several times by the recruiter that the bar for coding wasn't as high. Systems and culture interview would be weighed higher

Also TLM isn’t an official job title. TLMs are mostly M1/ M2.

Closing the loop on this, it was for an E6 role. I didn't get in this time and honestly I was a bit surprised because the questions weren’t super difficult. I was call them leetcode easy. Maybe the culture interview didn't go well. Beats me. I'll try again next year.
