Asking for a friend who got PM offer from Microsoft and TPM offer from FB. Base salary and sign on cash are similar but Facebook is offering double sign on stocks. I heard TPM is not very well respected role at Facebook and Microsoft PMs are very similar to Product Managers at FB or Google. So, should she reject FB offer this time, join Microsoft as PM, and try for Facebook or Google Product Manager position later? Or, join FB as TPM and try to switch to PM there after a year or look for PM job at Google later?( Because Facebook arguably has better brand name for your resume, even TPM from FB might have more market value than PM at Microsoft?)

How can I find success dating in NYC
Come to FB! I worked at both and Facebook culture is much better. Especially true if you’re at the early stages of your career. PMs and TPMs seem to have much more say in the product at FB than MS, where EMs pretty much made the call for everything.
Is it easy to switch from tpm to pm in Facebook?
Did you get an MBA from Ivy League school as well ? I’m considering career switch from engineering :/
MBA but not Ivy League. Why do you want to switch from engineering? I think comp wise, engineering is the best.
Engineering is very competitive I feel. It gets stressful at some point and ppl always expect u to be updated with all new tech all the time it gets tiring.
MSFT - Nadella is doing a wonderful job and they have diversified revenue. Facebook is one trick pony and all bad press lately
Is this in Seattle?
Not going to be easy to convert from TPM to PM in Facebook. It requires many conditions.
Facebook is facing headwinds. People will start getting dressed as stock price decreases. Company culture will change. You're better off with Microsoft.
Msft level?
What is the offer at both places ?
Msft: 185 base. 30k sign on cash. $125k stocks. Facebook- base and sign on same. Sign on stock: $250k
Nice offers, is $250k stock per year or split between several years?
