On capitol hill zuck had assured senators that Facebook doesn't sell user data. But their internal documents reveal that they were planning to do exactly that. https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/facebook-considered-selling-access-to-user-data-report Is there no level to which these guys won't stoop to?

Dating for Marriage is Hard
Why would anyone be surprised? People at Facebook have no souls.
Well actually, I’m pretty sure redheads are a minority of the employee population.
Wait, I thought they already sell it to advertisers
Are you saying you never considered a bad idea? What's this hoopla around this?
Another news: Google also considered selling user data - when I worked there I pitched this idea to my team
Did they ever sell it though? The answer is no. You can consider beating the shit outta someone but it isn’t an offense up until you do it. Considered is the keyword here. Now spreading rumors and get back to work.
The FB bashing is kinda getting a bit on the ridiculous side
One day they’ll leave us alone and come back to bashing a nation wide ISP instead.
Yeah, This must be the most correct and unbiased news because it's reported on fox. I completely believe it. I am slightly confused though. Did they just consider or did they actually sell? How did just considering became a news?
It would be naive to believe the conversation of "should we sell this data?" has not been discussed at any company with a trove of user data. It's a natural question, and the answer to the question is "no, we should not." However, not all companies accept that obvious answer. Luckily Facebook has chosen "no", so far.
But they’re eebul! I read it on Facebook!
