Nah. I saw the Email exchange. They asked for tons of immigration info and then said they are not hiring non-north American citizens for the role. And to get back to them when her immigration status changes to Canadian citizen. She's a permanent resident in Canada now

It's not. It's the visa Interns from outside US use to do internships. But recently they are only hiring North American citizens for internships so that they can come back and join full time without having to go through H1B
