Lost respect for Modiji
I found a few discussions on the process but not that seemed concrete. What form is the feedback each interviewer gives? For example: hire/no hire, 1-4 grade, just the write up, etc. How is the decision made? For example: is there a separate committee like Google, do the interviewer need to reach consensus, is there an AA like Microsoft who decides?
^this. For one org a mgr or director not in the interview loop will join the debrief as the debrief lead. She/he is the one consolidates the feedback and makes the final call when there is no clear consensus.
Thanks. That makes sense. Btw my interest is Seattle. Sounds like they all go in to the conversation with their initial vote and then discuss like a jury :), but with the higher level exec debrief lead. So i f I have a director on my loop then probably someone above him is the person to convince, likely a VP. One additional aspect I’m still not super clear on is the org structure above Director of Eng. specifically whether most of the directors (at least in Seattle) are under the same VP or if there are many VPs of Engineering (per area)?
Not sure about Seattle but not all eng directors report into vps of engineering. They can report into other directors (there are a couple intermodal director levels). They can also report into a director/vp of product.
Thanks, I’ll try not to guess then :)
Does any one know how long this process usually take? I’ve heard of versions as short as 3 days and also as long as 1+ week. Just wondering what is the regular time taken?
What is the shortest time taken for reject and selected ?
I had a verbal offer the next day
Nice. You must have done great. I assume that happens when you really impress every interviewer.
My friend had a verbal offer the same day.
How many times in a week the Fb hiring committee meets ?
Same questions but for 2021
The hiring decision is made by the interview loop. Once they decide, a director or some other exec needs to give a stamp approval before the offer is finalized and given. This may be slightly different depending on org.
