Facebook hiring only candidates with 5+ years experience?

I’m an L5 here, and was looking to possibly make a move to Facebook in the near to medium term. However, a recruiter told me they are only hiring those with at least five years of experience for my role (SWE, MPK). It doesn’t matter what my current level is; there is a hard tenure requirement. This makes me ineligible at 3.5 years of experience.

This seems ridiculous to me and contrary to what I viewed as the Facebook mentality on hiring. Can anyone there confirm this?
