194k annual 180k stock (45k for 4 years) 20% annual bonus Good offer? I am not aware of the growth process at the IC6 level. I feel there isn't much growth left and the review process seems intimidating.
IC6 maps to Principal at MSFT. Getting to IC7 can be tough, I wouldn’t expect it to happen quickly. That’s an ok offer, stock seems low, is it annual stock? Push for >200k base.
Thats what i thought as well no that is over 4 years so i think 45k per year then
I agree, that base seems low. IC6 is very senior. Congrats!!
Thank you. What is the normal range for a ic6 then?
You can get more. Ask 220 base and 1m equity. Based on how you did in the interview and how they want you it's doable
The recruiter has already anchored at 180 k stock. How does op asking 1 m affect the negotiation? What is the target to achieve?
The recruiter told me that is the best offer and they had to bump me up to ic6 since my previous position was director. I feel that they put me in a take it or leave it position so im not sure either way
I am an ic6 at fb and that’s the exact offer I got. Wasn’t able to get them to budge much from there
Yeah i ultimately just caved and i accepted the offer since it seemed pretty stiff. It seems like ic work is valued alot lower than eng work here
What do you mean ic work valued a lot lower than eng work..?
IC6 is senior and you will be ranked against many other accomplished people. Do you have a PhD?
No phd just a masters with about 10 years exp
