Which company to chose. Uber offer Base 175k Rsu 345k Sign on bonus 50k Facebook offer Base 167k RSU 310k Sign on bonus 50k Both offers for Seattle l4 and E4 I need to file my green card application, in whichever company I end up in.
Did Uber increase base for L4?
I would go for U - better WLB and higher TC. Would only consider F if TC was significantly higher.
Did they promise that they’d file a green card for you right away? Do you have h1b?
I have an H1b, got it last year, so I have almost 5 years after counting renewal, and both companies told me they would file one for me in the first few months. Even Amazon is filing one but I don’t want to stay here for next 2 years to get my i140. I would have preferred to go to uber and file my green card there. But I am not sure about the company performance in the next few years based on how much cash they are burning.
Facebook for sure. Uber won’t be around in 2 years.

@OP definitely choose Uber. High TC plus WLB is definitely good here compared to FB.
FB will always be around, I’ll suggest join Uber, as also their share price is low so you’ll get good number of shares, if things doesn’t improve at Uber then you can move to FB or other company after getting your I-140 which takes around 1 to 1.5 year
Did you ask FB to match Uber offer?
No they did it themselves, increased RSUs to 360k
