Facebook phone screen - your tip is my diamond

Ops Program Manager role, entry level and related to data centers. What do they focus on? Is it resume heavy? Would it have technical? I'm from CS background but should I expect Data Comms, Networks etc etc?

My advice is decline the phone screen and pursue roles elsewhere. There are less toxic, more ethical places to work with better long term prospects. Get ready for the “cocktail party” issue of being embarrassed and having to defend FB every time you tell someone where you work. Latest example in a long list: BBC journalists requested an interview with Facebook because they weren't removing child abuse photos. Facebook asked to be sent the photos as proof. When journalists sent the photos, Facebook reported them to the police because distributing child abuse imagery is illegal. Beyond scummy. FB declining and post peak, avoid. https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-39187929

Journalists: “Start removing child abuse photos from your platform!” Fb: “no you” Journalists: “Pika face*”

The OP is asking for some tips on a certain matter and people are replying back saying “don’t interview with them”. How is that even helpful?!

I think the amazon guy got rejected at Facebook several times, so trying to discourage people. 😁

Actually I declined to speak with their recruiter when she contacted me. Never worked there, but lots of friends that do and follow the company. I was trying to be helpful in saving OP from making what IMO is a mistake they’ll later regret in pursuing a potential offer from FB. Make sense? 😁😁

why did Amazon ever hire this dude?

Amazon zVjh74 Dec 18, 2019

I was hired due to strong performance against LPs, solid coding skills and a first class education. Probably also why I’m TT and a BR. Any other questions?

yeah, when will you get PIP'd?
