Hey, I recently competed my onsite for a Facebook Product Designer role and they want to proceed. The recruiter is trying to identify teams/roles for me and has asked for my desired salary. Does someone know the bands/levels and salaries for FB product design roles? Thanks.
same salary as SWE, maybe half the equity
What do you mean by equity? Stock? My experience is mid-senior level at Microsoft.
yes, RSUs, both as part of initial grant and later for refreshers. it’ll make up a big part of your total compensation
I have 5 yrs UX experience
I was told by recruiter that bands are different for design vs engineering.
I would assume you’ll fall into L4ish depending on how your interviews went. I would ask for somewhere between 140-170k base depending on location and family size with ~75k -100k in rsu and I’m not sure what their bonus is but I think it’s a percentage. TC should probably fall in the 250-280 range. This is all based on my personal research for this role. Level bands vary some but I think the generalized salaries are pretty standard.
170k base + 25k rsu + 34k bonus does not hit 250k. How are you getting 250-280k based on your numbers?
Nah as an E3 I got 100k stock so E4 should definitely get more
What's your TC ?
If these numbers are true, I would say it’s on par with amazon designer comps. Hard to believe that’s true based on what I’ve heard.
