Facebook senior data scientist level - IC6 or IC5?

I interviewed with Facebook for ‘senior’ data scientist - product analytics role under the impression that it’s an IC6 role. The recruiter told me that they want to extend the offer. Before the interview she specifically told me that it’s a SENIOR role. When I asked for the level, now she is telling me its IC5.
Wtf! she is also telling me that the process is different for IC6. Is that true? Thoughts?
Any suggestions on what package should I ask for?
