Facebook spying incident
I had a doubt that Facebook was spying on. Conversations Whenever I discuss about something I get a advt on Instagram about it. This occurred many times without me searching for it. # Yesterday I went to my car dealer. I discussed about tinting the front windows. Today when I opened Instagram I got an advt about window tinting. I did not search for this anywhere. Do you all think that Facebook actually listens to our conversations? TC 150k

You’re jumping to conclusions. The car dealer works as a part time advertiser and leveraged Facebook to target that ad to you because they know you will blame Facebook and not them 😁
No. But the data could be leveraged from your location. Facebook does track location so it’s quite possible that ads got tailored based on your gps.
What they use is data, data from that location of all other users. They have info on people going there for window tinting. So when you went at that location they guessed it precisely, that’s it. Just like when you go to a dentist, you might get ads on toothpaste etc.
Could also be location tracking
