I have a verbal approval from FB for E5. My recruiter said that she will give me high E5 salary. I wanted to try E6 and hence I do not have salary details offered for E5. I feel I am work as E6 equivalent at Oracle, but I am not sure, If I would be able to come in and start performing as E6 @FB. I have read about ppl being managed out if they are not able to meet expectations. My ask - 1) has some being in similar situation, can you pls share your experience 2) issues faced by external E6 hire 3) salary offered for high E5 at Sea and median E6 at Sea I am IC5 at Oracle. Tbh I did not prepare a lot on LC since I have been coding a lot at work. Same for design, I practiced ~15 questions and read blogs from pinterest, fb etc. I did ~50 random questions. I did made sure I read topics I haven't used a lot in work after college like graph algo, dp etc
Aren’t IC5 extremely well respected at Oracle? Why leave? High E5 would probably be less base (~200) but more stock. Probably not that much of a TC increase?

@Op, I have nothing to contribute on the topic but you can help me. Help me by stating how the interview loop looked like, what topics/subjects were being a focus and how is e6 loop going to be different?
Interview loop was in total 2 coding, 2 system design and 3 behavioral. Interviews are 45 min each. E6 had 2 extra interviews. In terms on focus, I would say also focus on conversation and design. In terms of Coding do the regular diligence. An advice would be focus in terms of cracking a 45 min interview, which certainly is different challenge.

Sorry folks, I had not updated the thread in a while. Happy to report that I cleared the bar for E6. I had a decent, fast negotiation with my recruiter and was able to procure (240, 1.2, 100) offer. I am waiting for the joining date finalization right now.

If you are confident go for it. What’s the question exactly? E5 is the safe bet. Promos are fast if you perform
