Hi All,
I have 2 offers from Facebook and Amazon. Both are SWE in bay area.
TC is pretty close and the difference is not the decision maker for me.
Facebook TC: 300k
Amazon TC: 315k
I like both managers. Facebook manager mentioned good wlb. Amazon manager mentioned high wlb.
I feel amazon is more safe in general.
Given the current pandemic condition and the above details, which one do you recommend or would you take? (career path, less layoffs ..etc)
Also, I negotiated a lot and both recruiters/managers made a lot of effort and were great all along. I want to apologize to the one I decline polity. any tips?
Thanks

At the end of the day, it is just a job. you are trading what little time you have in this world to fulfill someone else’s dream to earn living, might as well do it at place that has some amenities
Might as well go with the one that's paying more i.e. Amazon
@Goldman, yes they do from what they told me
Amazon is better diversified. Amazon > FB.
However they're killing it with Instagram and WhatsApp

Reason: everyone knows amazons shit stock refresher policy compared to Facebook's standard refresher policy
