Hey all, I got the offer from Facebook and Reddit. Offer: Facebook: base: $170K stocks: $330K(4 years) Sign-On: $40K Reddit: base: 180K stocks: 4600(4 years) $194K with 6B valuation - Last funding round in February 2021 $322K with 10B valuation(this is what the recruiter is using to calculate my salary based on the company's current growth and because of Diamond hands mania) Salary from both companies is kinda similar if I take the valuation of Reddit as $10 billion. I like both companies. I guess Reddit has better WLB, culture, and possible IPO in coming years? Which one do you think is better?
Is fb e4 or e5?
YOE?
How was the interview with Reddit?
How are the refreshers at Reddit? FB has pretty good refreshers.
There's no guarantee that Reddit will ever reach a liquidity event so it depends on your risk tolerance and which position you liked more (culture, team, etc).
Maybe it’s just me, but I’m surprised there’s any question… Reddit!
Why is that?
Not sure how to put it other than: Facebook is evil. And Reddit has tons of growth potential.
No sign on from Reddit? I’d try to negotiate for that
lol
Lol, where did the 10B come from? 😂 If the last round with 6B val was 3 months ago it's insane to consider anything other than that
not insane to consider it’s down to 4B now since the market is cooling down, lol
Touché
just for your information your stock value at 10B is not equal to 10/6* value at 6, there will be dilution.
Hey, can you explain this in detail? I am not clear about dilution.
