I applied to product manager role but always failed at the recruiter round 😢 I often feel nervous when I speak with recruiter about question like why company? Why this role? ... What could be the reason? English is not my first language. Tc: 0
I can relate to this. Be calm when speaking to them. They are human too. Also look at Linda Rainer on YouTube. She has the best answers on these things. This is the link https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXUyg1vYSupswhi0zNeD-5w Good luck! You can send me a DM also. I'll can help with demo interviews.
Ask the recruiter for feedback. You’ll get a better sense of what you need to work on to do better with future conversations. Good luck!
Before each interview, look up the company in google under the News tab. Click some of those articles and skim through. Should give you talking points for why this company? "I read the company is doing this and that (list examples), that sounds exciting and I want to be a part of that." Why this role? "My skillset matches really well, I saw the position on LinkedIn as a high match. I already have experience doing ___ and want to keep working and learning in this technology "
Rule 1: Be Attractive... Wait, this isn’t r/Tinder?
I interviewed with Amazon 2 times, total 8 hours and failed both T.T
But forreal, this isn’t something we can troubleshoot on a post... hang in there. Be confident. Do your research!
