#housing #airbnb #affirm #uber #lyft Where do folks with kids buy after IPO and reason? Usually IPO companies are in the city, but city is not ideal to raise family IMO. What’s the optimal balance here between school, commute, future value of the houses etc.? TIA! Household TC: 800K Please comment on the city and 🏡 house price. Thanks! Folks commuting from Palo Alto or Cupertino to the city? How did you manage that?
None of the above. Lamorinda for me
Good area as well!
I know!! I feel I’m paying way too much Cali tax. Any tax tips for pre-ipo folks? (Currently in a pre-ipo now)
Tax loss harvest is the best you can do...are your pre ipo gains options? If RSUs, not that much you can really do
Menlo park?
How is the school district? I heard mixed reviews.
Brentwood. 900k for a huge house on a quarter acre lot.
ask yourself why do you think it was that cheap?
That's a very passive-aggressive question with built in judgement.
Oakland
Los Altos
How was commute to city?
Tiburon?
I love Marin but if we ended up working at South Bay the next job, then commute would be crazy. Marin would only work for fanng satellite office or start ups. Same as living in the city I guess.
