I did my Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science with majors in Data Science and Machine Learning. I completed my CFA Level 1 and appearing for Level 2, this December. I work at Morgan Stanley in the Technology Division. Which is fastest way to get into Financial Research side of Morgan Stanley? Equity research analyst, investment banking analyst, quant research etc..? #finance #career #quant

Network with people in the field you want to work in. Understand what they do, express some of your interest. Chances are they know who you should speak to/they can submit your resume for you, assuming you know what you’re talking about.

IB would be the toughest with your background unless you went to top 10 schools for bs or ms. quant research comes down to the interview more than school prestige but you’ll need to be very good at math. Research analyst is easy

I would reach out to people in the group that you’re interested and find more about the possible routes to jump to the position.
