How are you guys doing over there? How did you fixed it quickly when you took stack overflow down too? 😁😁 But seriously, this outage is a good example of the dangers of centralized services and single vendor lock-in for tech https://www.datacenterdynamics.com/en/news/major-outage-hits-amazon-twitch-reddit-and-more/ With what just happened, do you see vendors going the multi-cloud cdn providers route ? I'm not sure if technically, that's effective when it comes to cdn but 🤷♂️
Over in a month? Try before the end of the day
Over before 9am PDT. So someone’s nightly build went bad. There will be a 1/2 meeting to discuss, tonight’s build will be watched slightly more closely by 1-2 people, and yeah.
@target they said it was some config issues. Best bet is to disable build today before they're sure they get their act together. There will be long meetings, postmoterms, RCA, yelling.
Damn I thought it's some weird issues at my isp, since I was to load Google(aka internet is working) but Quora and reddit were returning 503 - cache mediation error. Nice
Yea most of the websites were returning 503 error. It's gonna a long Tuesday for most of these companies
All I see is PIP PIP PIP.
multi cloud is the way to go but it's very complex to implement
Yea and not that many companies can pull it off. Guess we just wait for the next outage lol
