Interview at MetLife (Senior Tech Lead)

I’m interviewing at MetLife for a Senior Tech Lead role in application software development soon.
I’m excited about the job description and I think I could learn a lot since my focus so far has been more on low level embedded software.

Does anyone have experience working at MetLife? I do have 3 little kids so I’m especially curious about WLB.

TC: $145k
YOE: 10

    I would look for a remote role. You can do at least 200k

      Makes sense. I feel Blind skews the pay ranges as $200k is considered 🥜.

      Is the bonus based solely on your performance and/or company performance? I have been promised 20% before and did well but received $2k due to company not meeting goals. It puts a damper on effort when you aren’t rewarded.

      I agree, I had to work pretty hard to make my way up to $145k in NC 😆
      But maybe that’ll change with Google and Apple around.

      The bonus question is a good one! I’ll definitely follow up with them on that if I make it through the interviews.

      Any specific companies you recommend (don’t want to move away from the research triangle in NC)?
      I’m also applying to NVIDIA (fully remote) and Google (Durham location).
