I took science when I was in school and failed my 11th grade in India with 27% marks and then switched streams to Commerce. Got bare 60% in 12th.
Couldn’t get into any decent college in India so I went to a private university.. sat for GMAT and I got 520/800 came to us to a low end university in 2009..
Long story short and not a rag to riches story per SE.. despite being in finance and having low scores I never gave up and worked tremendously hard. In last 7 years I worked at Google Facebook Apple and Linkedin to name a few. Also I started at a nonprofit in Boston during opt when we were at end of recession to stay in visa status for 300$ a month..
Only point being, keep working hard and take everything as a learning experience..
FAANG is not the end of the world...
Telling you this as I felt like this when I had failed and said to myself damn I can’t do anything when everyone was successful in science stream and I was the only guy who flunked in entire school..

Enjoy time with your family and friends. Have hobbies. Spend time outdoors. Read books. Life isn’t FAANG
Also, I like where I live and would rather not spend on hire cash and stocks on a down payment of a house that costs 3 times my current and spend the pay raise on the mortgage of that house.
Company wise, u just need to find a good team where u keep growing.
I took the ACT (similar to SAT) and scored the national average of 21.
When I started college I didn’t know what a mathematical function was. I did not understand sin() and cos().
Despite this, I pursued a BS CS degree. I graduated 60k in debt at 22 years old. I busted my ass and am thankful for my fellow students who helped support me. I graduated with a 3.5 GPA.
Fast forward many years and now “I’ve made it” making 250 TC at the big Apple. There’s not a day goes by I don’t forget where I came from. You can do this.
It’s not always the strongest or the smartest that succeed, but it’s the most persistent.
