I have 7 yoe and a Masters. My current job is mentally exhuasting as I work in a really toxic environment and that has caused some level of anxiety and depression. I applied to a role at Verizon and the recruiter said she was impressed from our convo and would set up an interview with the HM in 2-3 days. Well she ghosted me. I applied to another role at Verizon and this other recruiter said he would recommend my resume to the HM and in addition he wanted me to apply for 3 other roles he was working on and if I was interested in any of them he would pass over my resume to the hiring teams. So I applied to those as well since I truly was interested in the postings. So far I've heard nothing from anyone there and the recruiters won't respond to my follow ups. That's 5/5 roles I havent heard back from. With the situation of my current job and not getting all 5/5 interviews, im starting to feel pretty crappy. any advice?
Doubt that

The hiring process at Verizon can be a bit of a shit show. Throw in some disconnect between hiring manager and recruiter and it can go poorly for everyone involved in the process.
The recruiter has to forward the resume to the manager. Often times hm asks the recruiter for more resumes but is left waiting. So this guy has to call the recruiter and not just email them. Keep calling my boy
Left the first recruiter voicemails in addition to emails after she told me I would hear back to schedule something in 2-3 days. Haven't called the second recruiter. Will do that tomorrow.
I applied for over 300+ roles to only get 3 offers. Hang in there.
We're you just mass applying? For every role I apply for I tailor my resume to fit the role to get past the ATS and I can't imagine doing that for 300 roles.
Yes, I customized my resume for each role and each company. This happend over 9 months. Frustrating and tiring yet it works at the end of the day.
Don't join Verizon may be that's a good sign.
Yeah I'm seeing that now. Still makes you feel pretty crappy though

Better to apply to more roles outside of one company, don’t be discouraged it takes time to find a job that’s worth it. Seems like you have a good role now and a lot of experience. End of year hiring is tough
