I have interviewed with over 25 companies. Got 3 offers but that doesnt match my salary expectations. Feeling burnt out and don't have any motivation to give any more interviews. I am currently waiting for Nutanix (Bangalore, India) to share the numbers for their offer. I don't have any counter offer to negotiate with. How to get the best offer? How people are managing this depression? Current TC : 25 LPA YOE : 2.6
Whats your expectations?
I am not being greedy. My CTC is 25LPA because of stock appreciation. My base pay is 13.2 LPA and I have EMIs and loan interest to pay around 80k per month. I am the only earning person in family too. Have to save Stocks for My brother marriage. So obviously I want to bump up my CTC somehow. Sorry if this post looks too greedy
Now you are making sense. Take a break and forget about the job hunt for a while, reflect on what went wrong and start re applying. Go with an open mind that there is always a possibility of rejections. It may not be you, just pure luck and timing of being on the right place at the right time
Why are you paying for your brother's marriage..
That's a very decent TC for your Exp. I'm making 28 Lakhs at 3 YoE, similar as you. Keep your expectations high and keep interviewing. You'll get an offer sooner or later.
Try for Amazon SDE-2. They will easily give you your desired comp.
Tried it. But after 3 months of interviews (8 rounds incl Online coding round) recruiter tried lowballing me and said SDE 1 is only possible with your experience. I didnt accept that offer
Lol this isn’t depression! All you’re doing is wrong by optimizing for few more $$$.
Depression is subjective bro
Wow me too feels the same. More power to you bro
Got the final offer from Nutanix. CTC is 32.7 LPA (24 BASE + 8.7 Stocks)
You are making way more money than most of the companies offer in India to anyone with similar yoe. That is the reason no one is able to match your expectations. Why would someone hire you at 40 LPA with 2.5 years of work exp if they can hire 2 guys of 4 yoe at 20 LPA each!
Nah plenty of guys in my circle make way more than 40 with 2.5 YOE. Do a bit of market shopping before posting
You read it totally wrong. I talked about op’s expectations. If he wants something like 40 L, then company will never match his expectations and hire 2 candidates with 20 L each. I did market shopping and i know no one will give 40L or similar for 2.5 years yoe. You need to read the post properly before replying
