Check out: https://iporegrets.com/ You've come to the right place! I've hacked together a janky ass website where you can see just how much money you missed out on by not joining companies like Airbnb, DoorDash, Snowflake, and all the other hot startups. So don't cry about how much money you might have lost anymore...... now you can cry knowing EXACTLY how much money you lost. (tagging facebook, google, and amazon since they seem to be the biggest feeders to startups) FYI this is my sorry ass losing 2 million dollars: TC: 420 with appreciation YOE: 4
This makes me ill
Me too, I was crying as I scraped the data for each company
How do you calculate bytedance stock appreciation lol
lol bytedance isn't on the list b/c i couldn't find stock data for it
No, I was talking about your TC
this is obviously fake. some of these companies haven't even IPO'd (e.g. Brex). and you're able to put in dates before they were founded.
I mean in this case it just calculates how much "paper money" you would have in brex stock
🤢🤮
:(
OP you’ve made us all sick.
Better have another column to choose which FANG company they have joined and calculate the difference
lol so evil
Even better, give the list of alternative career paths at the companies that have made more money than the user's current one.
Add a way to predict the next ipo wave!
lol i can add my own predictions. My personal "breakout list"
where is SNAP?
This is what Silicon Valley is nowadays and why it makes me vomit. A couple rats that are only trying to get the highest payout from a couple bullshit companies like Doordash or Airbnb. Or a couple other lowlife rats that are leetcoding as much as possible to work on some mass surveillance tool or some irrelevant codebase just to be able to brag about being an uninspired engineer at "FAANG".
Which faang is building surveillance tools?
And here I am building dashboards by writing regex to parse random logs 🙊
3 months ago (before IPO) our private board was full of people mad that they missed out on joining FANG, crying over how much money they lost out on. Then we went public. Tech workers ftw.
username checks out
believe me i regret many things
