I am considering buying a used Ferrari California. There a a few ones under $100k (2010~2013 model year). Entry level Ferrari, don’t break the bank account, relatively reliable (not comparable to Toyota of course), seems not bad? Maintenance is high, $2k+ insurance, $800 oil changes, $4500 factory warranty if don’t want to pay repair bills. Worth? Thought? My family tc is around $700k, monthly mortgage is ~10k, two kids are all at private schools, $40k tuitions in total per year.
How much do you make bro?
Just updated it above
Toc?
What do you hope to achieve by purchasing this used automobile?
Do it! PS. Why cheap school for kiddos?
Kindergarten and elementary schools, pretty standard here at Seattle, maybe not comparable to Bay Area
Get a Porsche 911 instead
911 is awesome, but not my style
Good point. So maybe F430 or even 458 for men?
Sure but figure 1 to 2 dollars in maintenance per mile driven and not a daily driver like a porsche could be. Use it to further your career and take it to spic but keep in mind the 4 wheel drive track cars will lap you.
To enjoy it you dont have to buy it! Also where are you going to drive it to office? In such traffic?
Seattle area traffic is not that bad, I probably drive it to my daughter’s school and then my office every day
700k in Seattle is big bucks. In the Bay Area it is not (for a family). Nothing wrong with doing this - as long as you realize you are pissing away 100k. Much better midlife crisis than having an affair - your wife will be thrilled it is just a car.
Really? 700k is not big bucks? I find this exaggeration reaching it's peak
I know, Blind has created this hilarious cycle of unrealistic reporting leading to unrealistic expectations, and on and on, until you get comments like this.
See if you can get a 458 Italia. It will be more enjoyable but with a similar cost of maintenance and insurance.
You can’t afford it.

...how do you figure? Bought my first exotic with a lot lower comp than op.
