Job says may require 25% travel . Can I skillfully minimize travel , I mean very thing can be done via chime or zoom. Any one wants to share point of view ?

    When I asked my HM he said it means nothing but occasional travels for meeting up with the team, bonding activities but may differ role to role

    There are many types of SAs. Some will require 80% travel. Some will not. I, for example, can get away with like 10% if I wanted to.

      got it - very informative. ML solution labs told me that a typical engagement lasts 2 weeks. Now I see a bit of risk for a SA to string together prod-ish code: Customers usually have SME knowledge of what they do and they can't make it happen with current Sagemaker offering meaning there is gap, as you have pointed out. The SA would need to cleverly fill the gap in the 2 week's time frame sounds like quite challenging isn't it... I guess if the gap is some sort of DNS lookup or security, then it may be relatively easy to write glue code, but if the gap is something else...

      The thing ms does very well is build systems that naturally integrate and work together. Aws has a lot of individual components that work well but require work to put them all together.

      I say prod-ish but honestly I don't know if it's really even at that level.

      I've seen the people on that team be fairly successful in their engagements but I have a very limited view on what those engagements look like.

    They say 25% but when I talked to the hiring manager - she said to prepare for 75% and made my decision easier to decline.
