Would like to know the best low cost fidelity index/mutual funds for monthly and continuous investment. Please share your experience and suggestions on fidelity index/mutual funds
Fidelity just announced their zero-expense funds earlier this year: https://www.fidelity.com/mutual-funds/investing-ideas/index-funds
Total market fund: FSKAX (used to be FSTVX)
Use FZROX instead, which is ZERO expense ratio
They’re not exactly the same. FSKAX attempts to track the total domestic stock market while FZROX tracks a subset using a proprietary index. Either one should do fine as a low cost index fund, but they track different indexes.
Fidelity NASDAQ Composite Index Fund: FNCMX? Any feedback on this index fund ?
Look for the zero fee fund. Others already posted this. There’s no other option.
There are other options. I think FSKAX is a good option. But yes I would not choose a NASDAQ index fund. Seems too arbitrary to me. Choose a total market fund or an S&P 500 fund depending on your goals and desires. FZROX should do well but it is new and doesn’t have to follow any standard index. And for that you get zero expense ratio which is great. But time will tell whether it’s a better choice than other low cost index funds such as FSKAX. I think you’ll likely do well with either one but won’t be able to determine which will outperform (and the outperformance should be small in nature anyway.)
