Looking for some guidance on what should be the right expectations for a Finance Manager position in Amazon. I have 14 YOE and a current TC in Michigan of 200K. I'm a Senior Finance Manager in a Fortune 10 company. The standard of living in Seattle is ~60% higher than my current location. What should be the bandwidth and negotiation parameters to maximize an offer.
Note that some tech companies have deflated titles. Amazon and Google are soem of them. An Amazon "finance manager" is probably a senior finance manager, if not higher elsewhere. Lots of ppl get hung up w the title but what really matters is the target comp That said, I don't think you would get a big bump in comp as an Amazon Finance Manager.
I’d be surprised with much better than your current TC - do you know the level? Based on the description of the change - unless you have family reasons to move, I would stay in Michigan.
I am getting an offer of L6 pm supporting finance at $215k tc. I heard finance pays about 30% less for same level
From my knowledge, finance pays pretty poorly...probably not more then $200k total compensation
