Finance Role TC Progression

Hi everyone! I'm in a finance role (L4) at Amazon and currently make around 90k with 1 year or experience. I've seen a lot of career TC progression posts on Blind and thought that it would be helpful for everyone in a finance role if we also did one too. I know since I only have 1 yoe I don't have much to offer, but I do think collectively this post could be beneficial to everyone. Just to be clear, try to only participate if you are, and mostly have been, in a finance role, and not in software engineering. If you are in a different role and for some reason feel the extreme urge to participate please write what field you are in. Have a good Sunday! And hopefully this post gets good responses!! My stats are: 2018: 90K 2019: 90K

Never tell anyone you don't have much to offer...Amazon hired you for a reason.

Wow around ~40% raise, love to hear how you did that in the same company. Also best of luck on your search

Thank you! Honestly, I was severely underpaid to begin with. I took a 65K salary after my MBA from a Top 30 school when my classmates were averaging 80K-90K. I kept pushing for promotions or pay raises and they were bumping me up slowly without a promotion until I had enough one day and put together slide decks and data points of what the average salary for my role was. I demanded 110K and they countered with 98K and I said no way no how was I settling for less than the average pay. They relented because I had data. They tried to question it too saying my Corporate Development position was similar to a Data Analyst 3 role, and I said, sure, except it's not a Data Analyst 3 role. It's a Corporate Development Manager role and this is the data that backs up my request.
