Should Amazon buy TikTok?
I have experience with Angular, React, and Node JS and have applied to a few hundred jobs. I've gotten some phone screenings, an onsite at Microsoft, and some other in limbo. Like one company brought to what would be their onsite (on webcam because of the pandemic). The hiring manager told me that I nailed the technical round, but that there were more qualified candidates. My recruiter has tried to reach out to see what is going on. I have a website finished, and a project that I am working on. I am also working on cracking the coding interview, Leetcode, and apply to jobs every day. Is there anything else that I need to do? This field has been a nightmare to break into, and even when I nail a technical round, in overrated NYC, there are just too many people with the 5 years magic number. #jobsearch #employment
Just keep pushing, 1.5 Yoe usually just lump into the fresh grad pile.
Just keep going. I have 0 yoe and just got an offer from MS. If I can do it, you can.
Wait... 1.5 Yeo meaning you've been doing side/personal projects? Or youve been a paid developer?
1.5 years of actual work in the industry. On top of that, I have projects, a bachelor degree, and a research project.
